Sammy Gyamfi, the National Communications Officer of Ghana’s National Democratic Congress (NDC), has recently been at the center of controversy following a viral video showing him giving money to Nana Agradaa, a self-proclaimed evangelist with a contentious past. This incident has sparked widespread public debate and internal party discussions.

Sammy Adu Gyamfi, born on March 28, 1989, in Sunyani, Ghana, is a prominent Ghanaian lawyer and politician. He currently serves as the National Communications Officer for the National Democratic Congress (NDC), a position he has held since 2018.

 

In response to the backlash, Gyamfi has issued an apology, acknowledging his misstep and expressing a commitment to learning from the experience. Alhaji Mohammed Sani Snr, a former NDC Vice Chairman, defended Gyamfi, stating that punishing him for the gesture would be unjust and emphasizing that Gyamfi is still learning on the job .

Despite the controversy, some party members urge a focus on the NDC’s broader objectives rather than being sidetracked by this incident .
